The Furious 7 soundtrack's 15-position rise is the largest jump into the top two on the chart since the Les Miserables soundtrack zoomed 31 rungs from No. 33 to No. 2 on the January 12, 2013, Billboard chart, observes The Hollywood Reporter. At No. 1 this week on the Billboard 200 is rapper Wale with his The Album About Nothing, his second chart-topper following 2013’s The Gifted. With both The Album About Nothing and the Furious 7 soundtrack at Nos. 1 and 2, Atlantic Records now owns the top two slots for the first time since the July 19, 2014, chart.Read more

Daniel Radcliffe, 25, best know for playing the title role in the Harry Potter film series, is in talks to star in BBC Films' Grand Theft Auto, a true-to-life account of the fight between Sam Hauser, the creator of the Grand Theft Auto video game franchise and Jack Thompson, a Miami lawyer who wanted to ban video game violence according to The Hollywood Reporter. Radcliffe is reportedly being wooed to play Hauser, the co-founder and president of Rockstar Games, the company behind GTA as well as games such as Max Payne and Red Dead. Owen Harris is directing the biopic from a script by James Wood based on David Kushner's book Jacked: The Outlaw Story of Grand Theft Auto. The film is set to shoot later this month, after the role of Jack Thompson is cast.Read more

British firm Ultrahaptics has developed a unique technology that enables users to receive tactile sensations from invisible three dimension objects floating in mid-air, according to the Daily Mail. Ultrahaptics is the world’s leading touch-less haptics company. The technology it developed uses ultrasound to project sensations through the air and directly onto the user. By focusing complex patterns of ultrasound emanating from a specially designed pad, the air disturbances can be manipulated into floating 3D shapes that can be 'felt.' Users can ‘feel’ touch-less buttons, get feedback for mid-air gestures, or interact with virtual objects and holograms. The firm says the technology could even allow surgeons to reach 'inside' a hologram of a scan and 'feel' tumors.Read more
