Ian McKellen, 75, best known for his roles as Magneto in the X-Men films and Gandalf in both The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, is set to play the part of Cogsworth, the talking clock, in Disney's latest production of a live action adaptation of the classic fairy tale Beauty and the Beast, according to Empire Online. Cogsworth was the castle's butler before the the sorceress put a spell on everyone. Just as the Prince was turned into the monstrous Beast, he and the other servants were turned into various pieces of furniture. He was turned into a clock, Mrs. Potts into a kettle and Madame de la Grande Bouche into Garderobe, the talking dress cabinet.Read more

James Wan, 38, best known for his recent helming job on the hugely successful Furious 7 movie, is the frontrunner to direct Warner Bros.' Aquaman, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Wan has no offer at this stage but he is the studio's choice and some preliminary talks have taken place, said the entertainment news site.Read more

Netflix’s popular political drama, House of Cards, will be returning for its fourth season and that mean President Frank Underwood is coming back for another term. Descent Studio's Kickstarter campaign to reboot Descent Underground, the classic 1990s 3D shooter video game, is now pass the $600,000 target. As of April 10, a total of $601,773 in pledged donations have been tallied from some 8,164 backers at the start-up company's Kickstarter page. But those who want to continue contributing to for the revival of the game can still forward their pledges directly to the Descent Studios' homepage where the total amount raised now stands at $604,143.Read more

But it will not be sold in Walmart stores. Christopher Stephen 'Chris' Copeland, who plays forward for the Indiana Pacers, is now in stable condition but has to remain in the intensive care unit in a New York hospital after undergoing surgery Thursday following a stabbing incident on Wednesday morning.
