Universal Pictures Ride Along 2, the sequel to last year’s box office hit Ride Along, is scheduled for release on January 15, 2016. Again directed by Tim Story, Ride Along 2 is now in post-production. Will Packer, Matt Alvarez and Larry Brezner and Ice Cube’s Cube Vision produced. The script for the sequel was written by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi. And ass for the sequel’s storyline, the studio simply teased, “a second-grade teacher must deal with his wife's tough cop brother.”Read more

Officially, The Amazing Spider Man 3 full movie has been pushed to 2018, possibly sometime May, to make way for two Spider Man spinoff movies, according to Sony. Firstly, there is the Sinister Six, a movie about a team of the amazing Spider Man’s villain characters, particularly Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Rhino, Vulture, Kraven the Hunter, and Mysterio, which may come out in 2016 and which will be directed by Drew Goddard. Then, it will be followed by Venom which is rumored for a 2017 release and which will be directed by Alex Kurtzman.Read more

Lionsgate’s Mechanic: Resurrection, the sequel to 2011’s The Mechanic, is scheduled to be released on January 22, 2016. Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ Warcraft, the live-action full-length feature film based on the mythology explored in the popular video game of the same name, is scheduled to be released on March 11, 2016. Directed by Duncan Jones from a screenplay he co-wrote with Charles Leavitt, the film is set in the world of Azeroth and portrays the origin story of the initial encounters between the humans and the orcs, with equal emphasis on both the Alliance’s and the Horde’ sides of their conflict.Read more

Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel Comics have announced they are moving ahead with the production of the Deadpool film, their long-gestating X-Men spinoff project. Tim Miller is set to direct, while Ryan Reynolds, who played the part in the 2009 X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie, is reportedly confirmed to star. Reynolds even tweeted fans, “Uh... It's Chimichanga Time” back in December. The screenwriting duo Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick of Zombieland fame have long been attached to write the script has already come up with an initial draft.Read more

Walt Disney Pictures Pirates of the Caribbean 5, the next installment in the fantasy adventure film franchise series inspired by a Walt Disney theme park ride, opens in theaters on July 7, 2017. Originally set for a July 2015 showing, the release date had to be moved back to accommodate script rewrites. The Pirates of the Caribbean 5 movie, which has been officially titled Dead Men Tell No Tales, will be directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg based on a screenplay by Jeff Nathanson along with Stuart Beatie, Ted Elliot, Terry Rosio and Jay Wolpert. Franchise star Johnny Depp was also asked by Disney and executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer to collaborate with Nathanson on the script development.Read more

Bravo TV’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 7 tenth episode which aired Sunday, January 11, has the ladies taking the first of their get together cast trips. They went to Puerto Rico to support new member Demetria McKinney’s singing career. Nene Leakes and Phaedra Parks came to the music studio to visit her. In a tone suggesting the 35-year-old Demetria may be a bit too old to be trying to start a career in pop music, Phaedra asked, “Why didn’t you try to be a pop star when you were more of a tulip?” Later, Phaedra out of the blue asked Demetria, who played a crackhead on Tyler Perry’s TBS sitcom House of Payne, “Have you ever done crack?” Still later, Phaedra asked Demetria’s stylist who was at the studio, “You are on point with this one today” — referring to McKinney’s outfit of choice.Read more
