Jennifer Aniston Spoke of Her First Love and Praised Angelina Jolie

Jennifer Aniston had spoken about her deceased first love and it would seem that the widow has a different story to tell.

In an interview with The New York Times, the Cake actress explained, "He was my first love - five years we were together," she said of Daniel McDonald, who later died from brain cancer. "He would have been the one. But I was 25, and I was stupid. He must have sent me Justin [Theroux] to make up for it all."

But the widow, Mujah Maraini-Melehi, came forward in an interview with Inside Edition stating that, "Daniel and Jennifer had a relationship over 20 years ago, when they were both still very young. She made a life choice, but so did he," she said in a statement to the program. "I am sorry that Jennifer did not realize the treasure that was Daniel when she had the chance, long before he and I met and long before he died. It pains me to read the headlines that allude to her losing him tragically when in fact she was not present during his long and difficult illness."

On a lighter note, Maraini-Melehi expressed to Aniston on appreciating the love that the actress has at the present for Justin Theroux, and that, perhaps, might be Daniel's gift to her.

In another news, the Friends alum commended her former rival, Angelina Jolie about Jolie's directorial film, Unbroken. Aniston firmly says Angie did such a gorgeous job! Aniston also closed off the bitter rivalry that has haunted both actress for 10 years now, saying, "I think it's time people stop with that petty B.S. and just start celebrating great work and stop with the petty kind of silliness."

Although Aniston praised Jolie for Unbroken, it would seem that both actresses avoided each other's company during the recent Critic's Choice Award.
