Myriad Pictures' Film Adaptation of George R.R. Martin's 'In The Lost Lands’ to Star Milla Jovovich
Milla Jovovich is in advanced negotiations to star in Myriad Pictures' In The Lost Lands, a film adaptation based on three fantasy adventure short stories by author George R.R. Martin of Game of Thrones fame. Confirmed to co-star in the movie is Canadian actor Justin Chadwick, 32, whose film credits include War of the Worlds, The Invisible, and Dragonball: Evolution and who is a regular on the TV series Shameless.

Alchemy, formerly known as Millennium Entertainment, has acquired U.S. distribution rights to Survivor, an upcoming spy action thriller directed by James McTeigue, best known for his work on V For Vendetta, which stars Milla Jovovich as a newly-posted State Department employee at the American embassy in London charged with stopping terrorists from getting into the country, who in the course of carrying out her work, gets targeted for death and framed for crimes she did not commit. Discredited and forced to go on the run while she tries to clear her name, Jovovich's character must also stop a large-scale terrorist attack set for New Year's Eve in Times Square.Read more

The Moon and the Sun, the movie adaptation of Vonda N. McIntyre’s 1997 Nebula Award-winning historical science fiction novel of the same name, was originally set for release to US theaters on April 10. Now, less than a month before that date, Paramount Pictures, which acquired the distribution rights to film, has taken it off from its announced release schedule.Read more

Michael Chicklis and Cheryl Hines have signed on to join Flula Borg and Rachel DiPillo in the cast of NBC's pilot sitcom Cuckoo, an adaptation of BBC Three's hit comedy series of the same name that starred Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Andy Samberg during its maiden season. It follows the story of a conservative middle-class family which got roused from its relatively normal routines when their daughter comes home from a summer abroad already married to a very unusual gentleman named Cuckoo who has an all-loving attitude, who does not have a job, and who loves to take drugs.Read more

Netflix has finally began production work on the long-gestating Pee-Wee Herman full-length feature film. The streaming network has partnered up with Judd Apatow to bring Pee-wee Herman back in the limelight. Owain Yeoman, 34, best remembered as Agent Wayne Rigsby in The Mentalist series, has been cast as the supervillain Vartox in CBS' upcoming Supergirl series and he will appear as a guest star in the show's pilot episode.
