Go Pro patents Square Profile Camera Design, All set to challenge Polaroid

GoPro was issued a new patent for a "Square Profile" camera on Tuesday. The move has been welcomed with a lot of speculations about the probability of California based company designing a camera to compete with a similar product launched by Polaroid last year. A 'GoPro Hero 5' could be ready to launch by fall of 2015. That is of course, if the company could keep up with its current track record of releasing a new and better iteration of its latest top of the line product around that particular time every year, almost without fail. Recall that on October 5, 2014, GoPro Inc officially released HERO4 for retail. In October 2013, it released the HERO3+. In late 2012, the company introduced its Hero 3 line of cameras. On October 24, 2011, the HD HERO2 was launched. On January 25, 2010, and on August 6, 2010, the HD HERO Naked and the HD HERO 960 were released, respectively.
