The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death, the sequel to the 2012 British horror film The Woman in Black which starred Daniel Radcliffe, opened with an estimated $7.8 million take at the box office with its January 2nd US evening premier screening, reports Variety. The Moon and the Sun, the movie adaptation of Vonda N. McIntyre’s 1997 Nebula Award-winning historical sci-fi novel of the same name, is set for release to US theaters on April 10. Open Road Film’s Rock the Kasbah would be released on April 24 to US theaters. Directed by Barry Levinson and written by Mitch Glazer, the comedy film stars Bill Murray as Richie Vance, a burned-out music manager who embarks with his only client on a USO tour of Afghanistan. There, he finds himself abandoned, stranded, penniless and without his passport. Soon however, he discovers a young Afghan girl with an amazing voice who stows away with him back to Kabul. He coaches her through an audition for the local version of the television show American Idol, called The Afghan Star. Avengers: Age of Ultron is set for release on May 1 as already announced by Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, in 2D and in IMAX 3D. In the upcoming sequel to 2012’s Marvel’s The Avengers, earth’s mightiest superheroes will be seen pushed to the brink of their limits. As told by director and writer Joss Whedon to Entertainment Weekly, “With the first ‘Avengers,’ everybody pretty much had the power to punch somebody. And now [in the sequel] we have a woman who can get inside your head and move objects, and a boy who can move faster than anything, and a robot who can replicate and is out of his mind. Cinderella, Walt Disney’s latest live-action film adaptation of the classic fairy tale by Charles Perrault and the studio’s own 1950 feature animation, is scheduled to be shown in US theaters beginning March 13, 2015.
