Sherlock Season 4 airs in 2016, after a one-episode Christmas special to “completely” solve the mystery of Moriarty’s return from the dead

BBC One announced that it will be airing a single-episode Christmas special of Sherlock in December 2015, followed by the premiere of Season 4 in early 2016. Filming begins this month in fact. “It’s taken a little while to get the dates sorted as none of the boys are exactly sitting back twiddling their thumbs but there was unanimous goodwill to make this work, so we’re thrilled that 221b is going to be inhabited again,” said Hartwood Films executive producer Sue Vertue in a BBC One media release.

Beauty and the Beast Season 3: ‘More Cat-Vincent Centric.’ Says Producer

Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass Now in Post Production

Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland 2, the follow up film to the Tim Burton-helmed Alice in Wonderland 2010 box-office hit is now officially entitled as “Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass.” James Bobin is directing based on a screenplay by Linda Woolverton. Danny Elfman will provide the musical scoring for the Alice in Wonderland sequel. Tim Burton will remain as producer. The summary of the Alice in Wonderland 2 plot at Coming Soon reads: “Alice In Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass revisits Lewis Carroll's beloved stories with an all-new new tale that travels back to Underland - and back in Time.” Principal photography began 4 August and ended 31 October 2014. Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass will be shown in theaters beginning 27 May 2016.Read more

Ridley Scott’s The Martian: Robinson Crusoe’s tale re-told and adapted to fit contemporary times

The Martian is Ridley Scott’s movie adaptation of Andy Weir’s 2012 science fiction novel of the same name. Produced by 20th Century Fox, it is scheduled for release on 25 November 2015, in the process, bumping off the Prometheus sequel from the studio’s schedule. Scott will be directing the film project from a screenplay by Drew Goddard based on Weir’s book. Angry Birds: All-Star Voice Cast Featured in Big-Screen Adaptation of Video Game Series

Angry Birds, the computer-animated movie based on the video game series of the same name is scheduled for release in theaters in 3D on 1 July 2016. The main cast has Jason Sudeikis as Red, the bird with a temper problem; Josh Gad as the speedy Chuck; Danny McBride as the volatile Bomb; Bill Hader as Bad Piggies; Maya Rudolph as Matilda; and, Peter Dinklage as the Mighty Eagle. The actor replied: “Am I interested? Always have been interested. I always love Clint [Barton], and in the last Avengers: Age of Ultron, we got to dive into him some more. Very excited about the outcome of it, and where it can go in the future. But all I can do is want. And that's all I can do. It all comes down to the content, and really how the puppeteers at Marvel can manifest a story that's worthy of a solo movie.
