Windows 10 has yet to ship out this summer, but Microsoft is reportedly already working on its next planned major update for the operating system. Codenamed “Redstone,” Neowin says the update will come in two waves, the first wave is targeted to arrive in June of 2016 and the second wave is scheduled for October of the same year.Read more

Microsoft hasn't offered an official release date yet but the company has committed to launching the Windows 10, it next upgrade to its proprietary operating system, globally by this summer.Read more

During its January 21 “Next Chapter” consumer event, Microsoft's other great big reveal was the upcoming Windows Holographic, an augmented reality experience that employs a headset, much like the VR goggles that are now already in the market, except that in this case, interactive holograms are added to the surrounding environment too.Read more

Windows RT, the Windows 8 version for mobile devices using the 32-bit ARM architecture that was launched in October 2012, may just yet be quietly phased out after it was learned that Microsoft will no longer be building the Lumia 2520, the last remaining ARM-tablet that runs on the RT operating system, according to Dutch tech news site PCM. The company itself last week already confirmed that it has halted the production of its own Surface 2 ARM-tablets.Read more
