Universal Pictures’ Pitch Perfect 2, the sequel to the 2012 sleeper hit musical comedy film Pitch Perfect which was based loosely on Mickey Rapkin's non-fiction book Pitch Perfect: The Quest for Collegiate A Cappella Glory, is ready for release to US theaters on May 15. As with the first film, Kay Cannon penned the screenplay for the sequel. Elizabeth Banks produced, directed and also co-stars in Pitch Perfect 2.
