Owain Yeoman, 34, best remembered as Agent Wayne Rigsby in The Mentalist series, has been cast as the supervillain Vartox in CBS' upcoming Supergirl series and he will appear as a guest star in the show's pilot episode. According to the studio's press statement, “Owain Yeoman plays longtime DC Comics villain Vartox, an alien convict, who has been hiding on Earth for the past twelve years. After Supergirl's emergence on Earth, Vartox seeks her out to ascertain her identity and do battle with her.”Read more

Warner Bros' Central Intelligence, a buddy comedy from director Rawson Marshall Thurber which stars Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Kevin Hart, will open in theaters on June 17, 2016. Sony is planning another film adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s 1868-69 two-volume novel about the lives of the four March sisters - Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy, in post-Civil War America. Once it pushes through, it will be the sixth feature film adaptation of the classic story following the 1994 film version by Gillian Armstrong, the 1978 TV movie by Gordon Hessler, the 1949 adaptation by Mervyn LeRoy, the 1933 version by George Cukor, and the two silent films that have been released in 1917 and 1918.Read more
