Project Morpheus, the codename for Sony's virtual reality headset for PlayStation 4, is currently still a prototype and has no confirmed market release date. The project was first announced at last year's Game Developers Conference (GDC) as “the next innovation from PlayStation that will [shape] the future of games.” According to the company, Morpheus enables developers to create experiences that deliver a sense of 'presence' - where players feel as though they are physically inside the virtual world of a game. 'Presence' is like a window into another world that heightens the emotions gamers experience as they play. The company's plans for Project Morpheus however goes beyond gaming and includes promised partnerships with NASA and to uses for immersive science.

Some great news for all the GTA fans out there. The GTA 5 Online Heists DLC release has been announced to be Feb 24, 2015 according to the recently surfacing online reports. Cyberland has announced that the 4chan clients have found that the beginning of production of the GTA 5 Online Heists DLC in the PlayStation store says that it would be accessible February 24, 2015 onwards. Then again, the report also notes that when news broke about the starting of the game's production, Sony had changed the entry of the game and erased the mention of February 24 release date.Read more

Apple is all set to release the 12-inch MacBook Air Retina in March of this current year, confirming a few leaked pictures and rumors that have been spreading around about the thinner and as light as air laptop throughout the last few months. Warner Bros. Pictures Jungle Book: Origins has been scheduled for release on October 6, 2017. Now in pre-production, the studio's live-action film adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's 1894 classic collection of stories and fables mostly focused on the orphaned boy Mowgli who was raised in the jungle by a pack of wolves, is set to be directed by Andy Serkis based on a screenplay written by Callie Kloves.Read more

Marvel Studios has confirmed that the third Thor film will be titled Thor: Ragnarok, and it will hit theaters July 28, 2017. Back in January of last year, the studio announced that Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle will be writing the screenplay for the Thor 3 movie. Chris Hemsworth who plays the title role, according to Comic Book, was asked if he could divulge any details about his third Thor film. He replied, “No, I can't...But also, there is no script for Thor, the next Thor, so I have no idea where we'll end up. But, it's pretty big, this one.”Read more

20th Century Fox's Planet of the Apes 3 will be released on July 14, 2017, instead of the previously announced date of July 29, 2016. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (Planet of the Apes 2) director Matt Reeves has been re-hired to helm the still untitled sequel to his critically acclaimed and commercially successful film. Walt Disney Pictures' Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales or simply Pirates of the Caribbean 5, the next installment in the fantasy adventure film franchise series inspired by a Walt Disney theme park ride, opens in theaters on July 7, 2017. Originally set for a July 2015 showing, the release date had to be moved back to accommodate script rewrites. The upcoming movie will be directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg based on a screenplay by Jeff Nathanson along with Stuart Beatie, Ted Elliot, Terry Rosio and Jay Wolpert. Franchise star Johnny Depp was also asked by Disney and executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer to collaborate with Nathanson on the script development.Read more

Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment's Despicable Me 3 will be shown in theaters beginning 30 June 2017. Other than that, no specific details have been revealed about the upcoming 3-D computer-animated comedy film. It can however be expected to continue with the adventures of ex-despicable villain Felonious Gru, his assistant and love interest Lucy Wilde, their adopted daughters — Margo, Edith and Agnes — and the Minions.
