Things might not be working out too well for the next season of "NCIS". It has recently been confirmed that Jennifer Esposito is leaving only after a year of being a series regular. Is it possible that Alex Quinn will not be the last character who will abandon the CBS show? There are speculations that the end is near and "NCIS" Season 15 could be the final season.
Jennifer Esposito's stay with "NCIS" has certainly been short. The character Alex Quinn was only introduced in the 14th season, undoubtedly as one of the three replacements for Michael Weatherly's Tony DiNozzo. However, the season finale showed Alex getting some urgent phone calls that will undoubtedly lead to her departure in "NCIS" Season 15.
Fans have been concerned that Jennifer Esposito's departure may have been due to complications with Celiac disease, as per Deadline. However, the former "Blue Bloods" actress has confirmed that she is well and that Alex Quinn was only expected to stay with the series for one season (via Twitter). Although Alex was already set to exit the series right from the start, is it possible that other characters will leave in "NCIS" Season 15 and lead to the show's cancellation?
No i am not ill but I so appreciate your concern. Was not meant to be there long but happy I was. Met some great new friends! Love 2u all

There are speculations that CBS might already be considering pulling the plug on "NCIS" after the departure of several main characters through the years. It is possible that the ratings haven't been as good as expected in the past season and the network could decide to cancel the series after this year. Unfortunately, if this is true, "NCIS" Season 15 could be the show's final season.
Should CBS cancel the series after "NCIS" Season 15? Could the show still gain more viewers when it returns on September 26? Let us know in the comments below.
