"Dance Moms" producers have tapped Cheryl Burke to take over Abby Lee Miller as a new lead choreographer and instructor in the wake of the latter's departure from Lifetime's dance reality show. However, Miller's exit didn't come easy as she bluntly revealed on social media that the producers mistreated her at the height of her career in the show. The former instructor is known for being demanding but passionate at work but was criticized at how she handled the girls. Burke is the number one critic of her and it appears that their feud is endless.
According to People, Burke, 33, said that the girls in "Dance Moms" including their mothers were traumatized due to Miller's approach in the show. She went on to say that she will not resort to anything rough although she would still be strict as she doesn't believe that anyone would learn through yelling or screaming. "But I do it in a way that's loving and it's caring, and I try not to intimidate them or traumatize the kids," she told Steve Harvey during "The Steve Harvey Show."
It can be recalled that Miller also said that the "Dance Moms" producers will do the same to Burke as what they did to her during her time in the show. However, Burke believes that the producers are only doing their job and thinks that they are amazing. She added that the showrunners are nothing but are great people to work with.
Meanwhile, CeleBeat reports that Nia Frazier is the only "Dance Moms" original cast that will be included in season 8. Her mom, Dr. Holly Hatcher-Frazier said that the show has inspired them, not to mention that they have gained a lot of friends. She also added that there will be ten fresh episodes in the next installment.
"Dance Moms" season 8 premieres in August. CeleBeat will provide more updates soon. Stay tuned!
