"Outlander" Season 3 is going to solve one of the books' prevailing mysteries, says author Diana Gabaldon in an interview with Radio Times. This mystery revolves around Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies) and Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) and whether the former cheated on Claire while she was with her other husband, Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan).
"I think the TV show treats him very fairly," she said of the writers' decision to answer this mystery on "Outlander" Season 3.
As most fans know, "Outlander" Season 3 will feature a 20-year time jump that will show aged versions of Claire. The Starz drama will also reveal what took place in between those 20 years they spent apart from each other.
While Gabaldon preferred to keep this a mystery in her books, the writers have decided to provide an answer to this question on "Outlander" Season 3. The author said that she, along with the fans, will have to wait till the show premieres in September to see whether they agree with the writers' decision.
Meanwhile, viewers were treated with their first look at older versions of Claire and Jamie on "Outlander" Season 3, according to HollywoodLife.com. Per their report, the show's official Twitter account showed Balfe and Heughan giving away hints on what to expect for the upcoming season, including three important clues: coconuts, soup, and the print shop.
