It might be another long wait for "Vikings" Season 5. There is a huge possibility that History will decide to push the series back to a fall broadcast. But what can fans expect in the upcoming season of "Vikings" now that Ragnar Lothbrok is no longer a part of the show? Some are already concerned that Ivar the Boneless will attempt to kill Lagertha for revenge. However, Katheryn Winnick's former shieldmaiden is not the only major character in danger of being killed by Ragnar's son this October.
CeleBeat has previously reported that "Vikings" Season 5 has officially wrapped last May, which means that it could air anytime soon. However, there is still a great deal of post production that needs to be done on the 20 new episodes of the show and there is still a possibility that History is considering the best time to air the series. In the meantime, fans have found plenty of time to wonder who Ivar the Boneless will kill in the next season. Unfortunately, it looks like Lagertha isn't the only one who will need to face Ivar's wrath after the deaths of his parents Ragnar Lothbrok and Aslaug.

Fans were delighted when Katheryn Winnick shared an Instagram photo of her "Vikings" Season 5 castmates, but some were also concerned as to why only a few are in the picture. Moe Dunford, who plays King Ecbert's son Aethelwulf, is notably absent although Jennie Jacques, Darren Cahill and Ferdia Walsh-Peelo are with Winnick (Jones portrays Aethelwulf's wife Judith while Cahill and Walsh-Peelo will play the new king's grown sons). In addition to that, Harald Finehair (Peter Franzen) is nowhere to be seen while Halfdan the Black (Jasper Paakkonen) is clearly seen celebrating.
So could this mean that Ivar the Boneless will murder King Aethelwulf as well as Harald Finehair? The truth could finally be revealed in "Vikings" Season 5, which is expected to premiere in October.
