Avan Jogia certainly knows how to choose his projects. The "Ghost Wars" star is set to appear in a feminist retelling of J.M. Barrie's classic "Peter Pan" but the film still needs help in order to begin production. Find out how to help Rebecca Woolf's unique twist on the tale of lost boys and found boys.
First of all, what is "PANS"? The film follows the story of 15-year-old Wynne Darling, who has to deal with her parents' divorce. The young girl meets a group of skateboarders led by Pete and his sister Belle, who help her discover herself through friendship. Avan Jogia has been confirmed as Pete (Peter Pan) while Belle (Tinker Bell) will be played by Sydney Park. It's a promising project that will be written and directed by Rebecca Woolf, but it also requires funding. Here's how fans can help make sure the movie gets made.
Rebecca Woolf has made a Kickstarter campaign for "PANS", which requires $100,000 in order to fund production. As of writing, the campaign has already reached its goal but new backers are still welcome, especially since they could get awesome goodies for their support. For example, supporters who pledge $35 or more will be sent a special hand-written letter from the cast and crew, including Avan Jogia. To start pledges, simply click here.
"PANS" certainly is a film worth making, especially for young women who are looking for an empowering movie. Avan Jogia fans are urged to send support for the Rebecca Woolf project.
Hopefully, "PANS" will get made as soon as possible. In the meantime, Avan Jogia is hard at work on "Ghost Wars", which will also star Kim Coates and Vincent D'Onofrio. The new series is expected to air on Syfy later this year, as per CeleBeat.
