"Criminal Minds" Season 13 spoilers are teasing on the fates of several members of the BAU following the CBS drama's season finale last Wednesday. In the said episode, JJ, Walker, Prentiss, Lewis, Alvez and Rossi were out to track down Mr. Scratch until they crashed onto an 18-wheeler.
This is the first cliffhanger the show has done since Season 3 and showrunner Erica Messer told TVGuide.com that they decided to do so because it was "frightening and unexpected." While many were expecting that Mr. Scratch's arc will soon come to a close, it looks like the CBS drama is keen on keeping him through "Criminal Minds" season 13.
While everyone is at their toes guessing which character/s may die and which ones survive, Messer admitted that she still has no idea how the story will go on "Criminal Minds" Season 13. The showrunner explained that writing for the upcoming season will begin on June 5, but she hopes that everyone will still be around.
Messer also spoke to Entertainment Weekly and explained the reason behind Shemar Moore's short appearance in the "Criminal Minds" Season 12 finale. According to the executive producer, his appearance served a "dual purpose," as many have been wishing for his return on the show.
At the same time, Moore's return helped wrapped up the arc on Spencer Reid on "Criminal Minds" Season 12. While many were disappointed that Moore's Morgan did not share a scene with Reid, Messer explained that they already had their moment before Moore left the show in Season 11.
