Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie surprised a lot of their followers when the couple filed for divorce in September last year. While Brangelina are in the middle of a divorce suit, a new interview with the 53-year-old actor sheds light on Pitt's thoughts and feelings about their relationship. Is there a chance for reunion between the couple?
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt divorce took a lot of fans by surprise, as the couple has been together for years. While the reason behind the couple's split remains a mystery, the "World War Z" actor recently talked about his divorce from his ex-wife during an interview with GQ Magazine.
Pitt admitted that drinking has always been his problem and he was not able to stop himself from drinking too much even when he started a family with Jolie. The "Fight Club" actor explained that he succumbed to alcohol after all the things he went through with his wife, but Pitt shared that he has not had alcohol for months.
"For me this period has really been about looking at my weaknesses and failures and owning my side of the street," he said.
Pitt shared that he and Jolie agree on keeping things civil between them in order to protect their kids. The "Fury" actor explained that they still have a lot to tell their kids because they hope to keep them "stronger and better people."
This made a lot of their followers hopeful that a reunion may still be possible for the couple. After all, Pitt's drinking problem is being cited as the final straw that led to Brangelina's divorce, reports Hollywood Life.
An insider told Us Weekly that Pitt was "drinking heavily" during a flight with Jolie and their six children. Jolie has reportedly asked Pitt to stop drinking, but things turned "physical" and intense, which even led to the FBI and Department of Children and Family Services checking on their house the morning after the flight.
