After the MET Gala, controversial singer Justin Bieber was photographed with Hailee Steinfeld at a New York hotel on May 1, which sparks speculations among fans that the two are indeed dating. The Canadian singer has been in different controversies almost in his entire music career even when he was still dating singer and actress Selena Gomez. Recent reports claim that both singers have just been seeing for over a month, where a pastor introduced them as they both attend the same church.

A representative for Hailee Steinfeld said that Justin Bieber is just her friend but TMZ insists that their relationship has just departed the friend zone. It is said that it was Pastor Carl Lentz who introduced them as they both share the pastor's church. JB was also pictured in April FaceTiming with the "Romeo & Juliet" star. A source also said that the two singers met up after the MET Gala in New York City.

Despite TMZ's assertion that Justin Bieber and Hailee Steinfeld are indeed dating, another source claims that there is nothing romantic going on between the two singers. It is said that the "Pitch Perfect 2" star is devoted to her boyfriend, Cameron Smoller. There are also some photos that surfaced where they can only be seen hanging out like any other friends do. Others say that they might be working on a music collaboration, which excites most fans of the two singers.

US Weekly reports that the two singers are not dating, which is in contrast to some reports. On April 30, Cameron Smoller shared a photo of him and the "True Grit" star cuddled together at the back of a car. It is said that they have been dating for at least a year now.
