"High School Musical" has made Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens the dream pair at the time, most especially after they turned their on-screen romance to off-screen. Now that "High School Musical 4" is slated to happen soon, reports revealed that Austin Butler's girlfriend is not too enthusiastic to reprise her role as everyone expected. Is it because she didn't want to see her ex again?
When Disney finally announced that "High School Musical 4" is definitely happening, many are hoping to see the original cast to appear on the new instalment. However, Vanessa Hudgens crushed everyone's dream of an epic reunion as she revealed that she is not ready to portray an older character yet.
"I mean, I'm 28. I could be a teacher, but I refuse to be a teacher!" Vanessa Hudgens told E! News. "I'm still a teenager at heart. So probably not with me, but I'm excited to see what they whip together." Although the chance of her reprising her role in "High School Musical 4" is getting slimmer, she did give an advice for the new cast. "Just have fun. We were just kids running around having fun."
Vanessa Hudgens' decision of not wanting to join "High School Musical 4" has nothing to do with the possibility of working with Zac Efron again. Clearly, the former Hollywood teen "it" couple have moved on from their Disney romance, but it is still quite intriguing and interesting to know as to how their characters would be on the fourth installment.
As if not reprising her role as Gabriella Montez on "High School Musical 4" is not enough, Vanessa Hudgens also pointed out that she and Zac Efron have not kept in touch and did not retain a friendship. "Oh yeah no, that's not a thing that happens," Austin Butler's girlfriend revealed to Access Hollywood Live. "No, I completely lost contact with him."
