It looks like everything that Stephen King ever wrote will be made into a movie or a TV series once again. It has recently been announced that the film adaptation of King's novel "Firestarter" will get a remake soon. So who will play the role of Charlie, the young pyrokinetic that was once portrayed by Drew Barrymore? There are speculations that "Logan" star Dafne Keen is being considered for the part.
Universal announced the "Firestarter" remake at the recent Overlook Film Festival, as per Deadline. The new film, which is expected to change a few things from the Stephen King novel, has tapped Akiva Goldsman to direct. The script will be written by Scott Teems. Unfortunately, it was not yet confirmed whether the studio has already found someone who will take on the role made famous by Drew Barrymore in the 1984 movie. But is it possible that Dafne Keen from "Logan" is already being eyed to play the tiny pyrokinetic?
The announcement of Stephen King's "Firestarter" film remake immediately had fans speculating about the perfect young actress who could be sweet and deadly at the same time. Naturally, people have started fancasting Dafne Keen, who played the snarling little mutant X-23 in "Logan" (via io9). After all, everyone was impressed with Keen's performance as Laura and some believe that she can take on the role originally portrayed by Drew Barrymore.
