Charlie Hunnam has taken on several interesting roles in his career but it looks like his new favorite role is that of the hot-tempered monarch in "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword". The "Sons of Anarchy" actor recently admitted that he enjoyed working on the Guy Ritchie film, where he had to take sword fighting lessons and bare knuckle boxing. Hunnam has actually declared "King Arthur" as the "best film experience" of his life.

An exclusive new video has been shared by Entertainment Weekly, where Charlie Hunnam reveals he went to the gym not to get fit for "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword". Instead, the star of "The Lost City of Z" stated that he wanted to gain confidence in taking the role of Arthur, who appears as a street-wise brawler who later learns of his true heritage. The crew of "King Arthur" certainly enjoyed working with Hunnam, who reportedly gave the stunt people a run for their money. There is little doubt that the actor's preparation for the Guy Ritchie movie paid off well because Arthur appears to have a distinct fighting style and swagger in all the film's trailers.

Charlie Hunnam may have no problem looking and feeling amazing in "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" but working on "Papillion" was a totally different story. CeleBeat has previously reported on how the "Pacific Rim" actor starved himself to prepare for his role as the imprisoned Henri Charriere in the Rami Malek movie. Hunnam admitted that he only smoked cigarettes and drank black coffee while working on the remake of the Steve McQueen movie.

Fans can catch Charlie Hunnam looking and feeling his best in "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword", which is set to premiere on May 12. The "Papillion" release date has not yet been announced but is expected to hit theaters by 2018.
