Daisy Ridley has been keeping plenty of secrets about what to expect in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" but that doesn't mean there have been hints about Rey emerging in social media. After all, the ominous title of "Episode VIII" certainly suggests that Luke Skywalker could be in trouble. Could Darth Vader's son turn out to be just another grumpy old man as he trains Rey in the ways of the Jedi? Has Ridley teased on the possibility that fans will finally learn that her character's name is actually Rey Kenobi?
Daisy Ridley recently spoke with MTV about "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" and it sounds like Rey could be a bit disappointed with her new mentor. Ridley stated that Rey (still a possible Kenobi) will realize that Luke Skywalker is no longer the young Jedi he once was.
"In a way, they're both similar, but she's very much looking up to him to be this thing that she thinks he is, and a long time's passed," Daisy Ridley revealed. It certainly sounds like Luke Skywalker has grown to be a grumpy old man who might be a bit strict with his training. But is it possible that Luke is being that way because he is aware of Rey's parentage? After all, there have been reported that Ridley's character is actually Rey Kenobi.
So... Rey is a Kenobi. And Finn is a Windu. Okay. #IndahnyaBerbagi #StarWars #TheLastJedi pic.twitter.com/zDYCacBlgq

CeleBeat has previously reported on Daisy Ridley being introduced as "Rey Kenobi" at the recent Star Wars Celebration in Orlando. The revelation may have been a technical error but Ridley also stated that "quite a few questions that people have are answered in ['Star Wars: The Last Jedi']." Will Rey finally be confirmed as Obi-Wan Kenobi's long-lost granddaughter? The truth could be revealed when "Star Wars Episode VIII" hits theaters on December 15.
