'Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' Spoilers: Boruto Is Under Fire for Being the Hokage's Son; More Characters Revealed

"Naruto: Shippuden" may have met its end but the "Naruto" franchise is certainly not going anywhere. "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" premiered on April 5 introducing characters that tickled the interests of the viewers. Boruto, the son of the Hokage Naruto Uzumaki was showcased while he enters the academy, meeting his ultimate friends as well as competitors. More characters were also introduced in the anime series.

After having been suspended from the ninja academy for two weeks, Boruto returned to the academy with most of his classmates disappointed with how he dealt with the train accident. It can be recalled that in "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 1, the Hokage's son tried to save Denki and a group of teenagers from the train crash. He managed to rescue them but he smashed the train above the academy that puts everyone's lives at stake.

"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 2 started off with Boruto, fresh from his suspension but was prepared to begin his day only to find out that most students were still talking about him. Some students believe that because he is the Hokage's son, he is being treated with kid gloves. Inojin, Sai and Ino's son told Boruto right in his face that he is riding on Naruto's coattails and doesn't deserve to be his friend.

"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 2 introduced fans to the ninja academy, where students learn more than ninjutsu. The episode has showcased the new ninja world but some fans were somewhat disappointed with how the storyline killed the hype that has been built when the series premiered. As IGN points out, the building moments of the series were passing and turned into a sillier storyline as the episode progresses.

Then, "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 2 went into Boruto and Iwabe's fighting when the latter picked on Denki. During the fight, Iwabe caught Boruto by his ankle, where he tried to twist his body hoping to land a punch on the former but failed. According to Comic Book, Sasuke used the same style on Kakashi during their Genin Exam.

Meanwhile, more characters were also introduced in "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 2 such as Sumire Kakehi. Metal Lee can also be seen in the episode, who sports the same outfit as his father Rock Lee.
