'The Walking Dead' Season 8 Predictions SPOILERS: Rick Grimes, Michonne Set To Bring Richonne To The Next Level?

There are more battles to be fought in "The Walking Dead" Season 8 but fans are also concerned about another thing: Will Rick Grimes and Michonne finally go to the next level of their relationship? After all, Richonne was one of the biggest shockers in the sixth season but was barely touched upon in Season 7. Could there be another major moment between Rick and Michonne when "TWD" returns to AMC this fall?

Rick Grimes' relationship with Michonne started out with an awesome friendship that eventually became romantic in the sixth season. It was certainly something fans didn't expect at first but have come to embrace with each episode. Unfortunately, Rick has been too busy planning the fight against Negan in Season 7. Nevertheless, there is hope that Richonne could move things forward in "The Walking Dead" Season 8.

Scott M. Gimple recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the previous season finale. The "TWD" showrunner also teased on "a lovely scene" that involved Rick Grimes, his son Carl as well as Michonne. However, the sequence was deleted from the episode to make way for more important moments, as per ComicBook. Fans immediately wondered if the scene was a glimpse at another Richonne moment as they agree to be a true family. In addition to that, people are hoping something similar will be featured in "The Walking Dead" Season 8.

A Richonne moment would certainly be a welcome sight, but Rick Grimes has more things to worry about in the series. The Alexandrians will still need to find another way to strike at Negan and the Saviors, and it will not be easy now that the villain is on to their plans. Luckily, Michonne will still be around to help him out. "The Walking Dead" Season 8 is set to premiere on AMC this fall.
