The premiere of "Better Call Saul" Season 3 was aired last Monday on AMC. The new season promises a brilliant new story as the prequel to one of the most intriguing crime drama series "Breaking Bad." The audience will be able to see the transformation of Jimmy McGill to become Saul Goodman and how Gus Frings expands his business.
"Better Call Saul" Season 3 first episode was titled "Mabel" and aired Monday, April 10. The episode continued the story from Season 2 finale as Chuck McGill and his partner Howard Hamlin recorded a confession from Chuck's younger brother Jimmy, who confessed how he had elaborated a scheme to trick Chuck. However, the audience still left in a puzzle, because Chuck and Howard have not decided what to do with the recording.
This gives a suspended thrill to audience according to New York Times. A spoiler is also revealed, that Jimmy will have a new alter ego in "Better Call Saul" Season 3. While Gus Frings, the methamphetamine distributor who covered his crime business with his fast food restaurant will expand his business and become the kingpin as he was in the "Breaking Bad."
In the interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the co-creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould talked about the "Better Call Saul" Season 3. They explained how Mike has to deal with someone who tracked him and put a note on his car in the Season 2 finale.
"Mike Ehrmantraut is probably the most skillful character in this Better Call Saul/Breaking Bad universe," Gould explained. Therefore to have someone tracked him, that means the person is better than Mike. Therefore, he needs to works extra hard to find him in the "Better Call Saul" Season 3.
They also explained the pace of the series will vary based on the depth of plot to explore. There is a reason, why Chuck delayed his decision to make his brother to payback for his scheme. That will also become the turning point of the series. Watch the promo of "Better Call Saul" Season 3 below:
