It's no secret that Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have amazing on-screen chemistry, making the portrayal of their iconic "Fifty Shades Of Grey" characters highly effective. Because of that, the "Fifty Shades Darker" co-stars have been subject of dating rumors despite of the actor's 4-year marriage to singer and actress, Amelia Warner.
Although there were a lot of whispers and speculations that Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) may have taken their on-screen romance to off-screen, the "Fifty Shades Darker" actor revealed that it wasn't the case at all. The 34-year-old model and musician is still very much married to Amelia Warner and he and Melanie Griffith's daughter are actually good friends in real life.
It seems that their romantic chemistry in the "Fifty Shades" franchise is just a result of two good friends being great actors. Although Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have to put their real-life friendship aside to be hot, sexy, and romantic towards each other in the film, the actor can't seem to shake off being concerned for his leading lady because "she's not wearing a lot of clothes" in most of the scenes, as per The Stir.
"It certainly is an unconventional movie to make, but these two have found their comfort within it, and that lies within them, making sure the other one is okay, protected, consenting," The Stir shared. "They have such a beautiful and quite unique friendship, and have found a healthy way to collaborate on such an intense film."
Despite feeling protected by Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson admitted that it wasn't all rainbows and butterflies shooting her nude scenes with her "Fifty Shades Darker" co-star. The actress revealed to Vogue magazine, as reported by Celeb Dirty Laundry, that they have worked closely for quite a long time so they have learned to trust each other, but then she added, "I mean, what a gamble! What if he had turned out to be a total d**k?"
