Alec Baldwin's 'Nevertheless' Memoir Gets More Controversial by the Day

Alec Baldwin's juicy memoir "Nevertheless" didn't fail to garner mixed reactions from its readers. One of the claims in his book was heavily disputed by one of the producers of his movie "Mini's First Time". Baldwin's co-star was none other than Nikki Reed who was apparently underaged during filming.

Reed was a teen who had sex with her stepfather (Baldwin) and tries to convince him to kill her mom. Alec Baldwin said in the book that he did not know Reed was underage. He said he only found out after they were already done filming. He was angry at the producers because they told him something different, per Los Angeles Times.

Producer Dana Brunetti took to Twitter because he remembered things quite differently from Alec Baldwin's version. He said Baldwin knew Nikki Reed was sixteen years old and he didn't mind at all. He went on to say that Reed was one of the four actresses Baldwin approved and was the only one out of the four who was represented by Baldwin's agency, CAA.

Brunetti also said that Nick Guthe who directed the film said at that time that they liked the idea because they could not be pressured into creating nude scenes. Furthermore, Brunetti added that if Alec Baldwin simply said in his memoir that Reed was underage, he'd easily let it go. But to say that he yelled at the producers which included him made it appear they did something wrong.

As if Alec Baldwin's beef with his former producers weren't enough, the actor once again poured his heart out over his disappointment with his publisher for not doing a 'forensic edit' on his book. The actor wasn't merely talking about typo errors. On his Facebook post, he said that HarperCollins weren't able to include the revisions that he wanted. Whether it was because of time constraint, author's poor memory or other factors, the actor promised to release an index of corrections, even do some essays on subjects that he did not address in the original book per USA Today.
