"The Walking Dead" is known for its untimely deaths, may it be minor or major characters and of course, it is also known for bringing nerve-racking explosives that make everyone shudder. The deaths of the two fan-favorite characters Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Glenn (Steven Yeun) already brought sorrow to many fans that are probably grieving until now. The grieving process might take a while now that Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) is dead.
Thankfully, Sasha's death was not one of those gruesome violence that "The Walking Dead" has been accustomed to. Despite the apocalyptic series' showrunners denial that they have toned down the violence in the series, it appears that Sasha's death ruled it out. Although it has been expected that Martin-Green will certainly depart the show, many of her fans remain heartbroken of her exit.
However, most fans believe that she had a sweet departure when she decided to swallow the suicide pill that she asked from Eugene (Josh McDermitt) to give her in last week's "The Walking Dead" episode. Sasha's death was everyone has expected even before she was taken prisoner at the Sanctuary. This is because it was already announced that Martin-Green was tapped to star in the CBS' upcoming series "Star Trek Discovery."
Sasha was first introduced in "The Walking Dead" season 3 prison arc and her death is still painful especially to those who have learned to love her. As the Independent points out, it's still hard to see major characters leave the series and Martin-Green is definitely one of them. Sasha's martyrdom has triggered the war that everyone has been waiting for.
Meanwhile, when Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) threatened Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) that he will kill Carl (Chandler Riggs), Rick was determined not to bend down to him again. Many fans may wonder but Lincoln told ComicBook that whatever might happen next in "The Walking Dead," Negan can never win.
