'One Punch Man' Special Chapter: Saitama's Strength Revealed Before He Got His Powers

The Japanese superhero web manga "One Punch Man" become viral when it started hitting its publication in 2009. The anime adaptation has also earned overall positive reviews from critics. Fans were thrilled when it was officially announced that the anime is getting its second season. Now, it appears that fans were treated with a special one-shot chapter of the manga series featuring its hero Saitama.

Fans took to Reddit revealing more of Saitama's undocumented adventures in "One Punch Man." The special one-shot chapter revealed that he is somewhat a B - Class Caped Baldy, who is still unknown in the heroes' world. Saitama continues to deal with a disaster but it appears that while he's taking care of it, there were more disaster levels occurring all over the place.

The special one-shot chapter of "One Punch Man" also revealed that the disaster level was believed to be on Wolf level. When the Surly Brothers confronted Withered Sprout, the villain appears to be totally small and frail but all of them were pinned to the ground when the villain landed surprise attacks. Some fans say that he is only keeping his real powers hidden from everyone.

It turned out that Withered Sprout is a Dragon level and Saitama quickly responded upon learning about it. "One Punch Man" redditor MBTHVSK reacted on the villain's abilities. "Withered Sprout has such nice art. He reminds me of something out of, like....Doonesbury or something," he wrote. The villain thought that Saitama is weak and quickly attacked him only to find out that the hero was able to escape from his frozen state.

Saitama then attacked Withered Sprout in return splitting him in half. The special chapter for "One Punch Man" revealed that Saitama carries hidden strength. This bothers the Hero Association as he is a low-key hero, where nobody would think that he was able to take down Withered Sprout. It was also revealed that even before the hero got his powers, his strength was already utmost to win against monsters and villains.

Meanwhile, IGN reports the anime adaptation of "One Punch Man" season 2 is already in production. However, the exact release date is yet to be announced.
