English singer-songwriter Adele chose to be away from the spotlight when it comes to her family. The singer is said to have purchased a £4 million mansion in East Grinstead, West Sussex. Reports say that the singer doesn't want to live close to her fellow artists and wants to live a normal life with her family. Her move of spending millions for a mansion is to have a lot of space to for her son Angelo with her husband Simon Konecki.
"Adele doesn't want to live with fellow celebrities in Chipping Norton or Primrose Hill. She has deliberately chosen the least showbiz place she can think of so she can live a normal, unflashy existence," a source told the Daily Mail. Previously, the singer revealed that she hides in a stage box during her performances to avoid too much attention from fans. She said that she would just be wheeled to the stage unnoticed.
It appears that the singer's choice of living away from the spotlight works just fine as one of her elderly neighbors doesn't seem to know her. The Someone Like You singer's mansion is said to have settled in an 18th Century manor home, which sits on 48 acres. Sources also said that Adele is enjoying her new private eight-bedroom mansion with wide space in spite of her series of world tours.
Reports also say that a treehouse and a tennis court are housed in the mansion and the main house also features beams and massive fireplaces. Additionally, the mansion also includes three cottages for guests. Adele has just completed her tours in Australia and New Zealand. The Guardian reports that after 15 months of touring, the singer-songwriter may not tour again.
Adele said that she is not good at touring and the only reason that she did it is because of her fans. Her world tour is a recognition of her massive record sales and fans' demands to see her in the flesh.
