"Shadowhunters" Season 2 return date has been announced by Freeform and it appears that fans would have to wait a little longer to meet another member of the Fray, Sebastian. Spoilers surfaced saying that apart from the arrival of the new character, viewers will also see the growing rift between the "Shadowhunters" and the Downworld. Check out the latest reports about the hit fantasy TV drama below.
The second half of "Shadowhunters" Season 2 is expected to feature Sebastian who apparently spent his life in hell. He's a victim of torture and some other unimaginable things so fans should expect to see his dark side. But there's more to Sebastian that viewers will have to discover as the series develops his character.
"Shadowhunters" Season 2's second half will also highlight the division of the two teams following the incident at the New York Institute featured during the finale, Entertainment Weekly reported. The problem is, there are "Shadowhunters" who have friends and lovers from the Downworld and it would be difficult for them to take a side. This could mean that there will be relationships that will be tested due to the danger presented by the growing divide.
As per a report by BroadwayWorld, Clary, Jace, Alec and Isabelle will struggle to start anew as they are torn between their feelings and following the Clave's rules. But aside from that, there's another event that fans should wait for in the second half of "Shadowhunters" Season 2. Seelie Queen will have a bigger role as she will reportedly come out of the Shadows.
In other news, "Shadowhunters" Season 2 just won a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series. Actors Matthew Daddario and Harry Shum Jr. who give life to the characters of Alec Lightwood and Magnus Bane received the award on behalf of the series.
