Gary Barlow has transformed from singer to a cast member of "Star Wars" saga. The member of Take That has landed an undetermined role as a guest star in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi."
Barlow confirmed that he had a role in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" as a cameo role in the ITV entertainment show "Lorraine" on Monday morning, March 27. Speaking to host Ross King, as reported by Daily Express, he said, "I’m not a stormtrooper, but I am in it.”
Unlike James Bond's Daniel Craig who made a cameo appearance as a stormtrooper in "The Force Awakers," Barlow's role has not been revealed. While the other guest star in the "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is Tom Hardy, who will also play the role as a stormtrooper. At first, Barlow was also set to play a similar role as well, but it turns out that he will play another role. Some speculations arise that the 46-year-old singer will play the role as one of the Jedi.
The latest spoiler from "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is the appearance of strange Force Tree as reported by Gizmodo. This Force Tree is the ancient tree with a high sensitivity to Force and found in the Jedi temple in Coruscant, which master Yoda often use it to train young Jedi. When Darth Sidious took over the Republic after "Clone Wars," he burned down the tree and stored two living twigs of the tree in a secret location at the Imperial base, before Luke Skywalker apprehended them and replanted the tree.
In the final scene of "The Force Awakens," the Force Tree was seen on the planet Ach-To, where Rey met Luke. The tree will eventually be burned down by Luke's nephew Kylo Ren in the "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." It is unsure whether Barlow's role in the movie will relate to the Force Tree.
