"The Originals" Season 4 will be introducing a new Big Bad and this means less romance for the characters including Hayley and Elijah aka Haylijah. Speaking to TVLine, Phoebe Tonkin said that Hayley was definitely looking forward to her reunion with Elijah since they were apart for five years.
However, Hayley will not have any time for romance, as her attention will quickly divert to her daughter, Hope, now that a new big bad is arriving in town. "The Originals" Season 4 spoilers tease that Hayley, Klaus and the rest of the characters are focused on keeping Hope safe.
Executive producer Michael Narducci also explained in an earlier statement that Hope is not an obstacle to Hayley's relationship with Elijah on "The Originals" Season 4. Instead, they are simply putting her needs and concerns before anything else, as the new villain is going after children.
It looks like the new villain will soon be making its identity known in the upcoming episode of "The Originals" Season 4. As Screener reports, this villain may have some connection to "The Vampire Diaries" because of the symbol of the ouroboros.
This symbol was seen on Elena's casket and it was the same symbol seen on Hope's drawing at the premiere of "The Originals" Season 4. Series creator Julie Plec explained in a previous interview that the villain will be a "really dark presence" for the community that will affect the supernaturals in town.
