The "Godzilla 2': King of the Monster" movie is reported to only have one original star reprising the role. While O’Shea Jackson Jr. who played the role as his father, rapper Ice Cube in his younger years in 'Straight Outta Compton' is looking forward to playing one of the main roles.
The only original star from the first movie who reprise his role in the "Godzilla 2': King of the Monster" is Ken Watanabe as reported by Variety. While other cast members are the new members Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler and Millie Bobby Brown who is known for her role in the Netflix original series "Stranger Things." Farmiga will play as Brown's mom in the movie.
Jackson was offered to play as one of the cast members in the"Godzilla 2': King of the Monster" as reported by /FILM. He is currently in the negotiation process to join the other cast members of the movie, which is scheduled to release on March 22, 2019. The movie will be directed by screenwriter and director Michael Dougherty, who is known to write the script of two Bryan Singer movies "X2" and "Superman Returns."
Dougherty's latest directorial work was in the 2015 comedy horror movie "Krampus." The 42-year-old director will also write the script with Zach Shield, his co-writer for the movie "Krampus," which was based on the folklore in Germany. Legendary Pictures will produce "Godzilla 2': King of the Monster," and the filming will take place in the facility of the Legendary's parent company in China.
"Godzilla 2': King of the Monster" is part of the MonsterVerse media franchise along with its prequel "Godzilla" in 2014 and "Kong" Skull Island" as the reboot of King Kong movie.
