Katie Holmes had no qualms about admitting to Jenna Bush Hager on her radio special that her daughter Suri Cruise was really hurt over the loss of Hillary Clinton during the Presidential elections. The actress was promoting her latest miniseries "The Kennedys After Camelot" on George W. Bush's daughter's "The Jenna Bush Hager Show!" Holmes said that the country still has a long way to go on being ready for the first female US president.
Katie Holmes said they thought Hillary would really win, and it hurt so bad when it didn't. She knew it hurt her daughter so much as a ten-year-old. She also said young girls have to be raised to be very strong not only for themselves but for other people as well per US Weekly.
Hager, who is also a mom herself to daughters Margaret, 3, and Poppy, 19 months had her first encounter with the "Dawson's Creek" star back in 2004. Hager recalled Holmes calling her to ask some insight in order to prepare for her role in "First Daughter". She was in college with her friends when she got the call. She simply thought it was a prank, she couldn't believe her idol "Joey" (Holme's nickname in the hit tv series) was really calling her.
