Athlete David Beckham has shared an unrecognizable face online. The makeup was done for his upcoming movie "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword." The movie is being made under the direction of Guy Ritchie.
The scarred face and rotting teeth are for the next character that David Beckham is going to play, ET Online mentioned. The 41-year-old is all set to make a special appearance in the flick. The footballer will play a disgruntled knight in the movie. The protagonist in the flick is Charlie Hunnam, who will be portraying King Arthur.
Beckham shared a preview of his roleplay on Instagram on Tuesday. "Rough day at the office @kingarthurmovie @guyritchie," he wrote.
David Beckham is known for his handsome looks but the intense makeover gave him a scary appearance. The deep scar seemed running from his temple to his cheek. However, the athlete seemed quite impressed with his new, different and unrecognizable looks. He will play a knight, named Blackleg Leader, who is incapable of pulling Excalibur from the stone.
Though further details of the role have not been revealed, David Beckham seems to be ready for criticisms. "I am very aware that many sportsmen and other celebrities have turned their hand to acting and failed," The Sun quoted the athlete as saying. "I know that it is a tough profession, where you need a huge amount of skill and discipline, and I wouldn't want to push myself forward too soon, without learning more about it, and doing a lot more practice."
David Beckham said that he had 13 lines to practice. He had to practice the whole scene a huge number of times before actually performing on the sequence. It is not the first time the footballer will be associating with Ritchie. He worked with the latter in 2013 for H&M commercial. "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" is scheduled to hit big screens on May 17.
