Duggar Family News Update: Joy-Anna's Engagement, Joseph Courting Kendra and Josh's Ashley Madison Lawsuit

While certain Duggar family members have chosen to stay away from the limelight, others have also been on the rise as fans look forward to another season of “Counting On.” Some of the younger Duggar family members have taken on new relationships while eldest son, Josh Duggar, is reportedly facing multiple lawsuits.

For the past months, fans of the Duggar family have seen Joy-Anna Duggar announcing her engagement to Austin Forsyth, Jinger Duggar tying the knot with husband, Jeremy Vuolo, in November and Jessa Duggar-Seewald giving birth to a healthy baby boy. Now, sibling Joseph Duggar has some good news to share as well, and that is his relationship with Kendra Caldwell.

The 22-year-old Duggar shared a video on TLC that confirmed his courtship Kendra. He said his girlfriend’s values and interests are similar to those of the Duggar family, making it easier for him to take their friendship to the next level. “We are so excited to share the news with others that we are courting,” Joseph told Us Weekly. “Our families are close friends through church, and this has allowed Kendra and me to get to know each other. She’s the best!”

Meanwhile, it was reported by InTouch Weekly that Joy-Anna Duggar has been making the preparations for her wedding with fiancé, Austin. With their wedding registry set up online, the date for the ceremony will reportedly be on Oct. 28, 2017. After announcing their courtship in November, Austin popped the question to Joy-Anna earlier this month. Another Duggar family wedding has since then been expected. “We just got engaged! I’m so excited to be engaged to my best friend — Austin made it so romantic, it’s amazing!” Joy-Anna said to Us Weekly.

As for eldest Duggar son, Josh Duggar, he was recently handed legal papers for a lawsuit involving his subscription to the adult dating service site, Ashley Madison, as reported by Arkansas Online. Filed by Matt McCarthy, the lawsuit claims that Josh stole Matt’s photo and used it as his own image on the cheating website. In August 2015, the Duggar family was shocked after learning that Josh was a member of the website that promotes extramarital affairs. A court date has been set for May 15.

The Duggar family is still looking forward to Josh’s wife, Anna, giving birth to their fifth child; she is currently pregnant with a boy. The couple celebrated eight years of marriage in September, and have four young children with ages ranging from 7 years to 19 months old.
