"Arrow" season 5 finale is just around the corner and it appears that an unexpected character is making a comeback in The CW's hit action crime TV Series. There has been a lot of surprising turn of events this season, including an all-out war as Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) hunts down Prometheus/Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra). The series started to receive low ratings in seasons 3 and 4 but was able to get back on track in season 5, which is packed with challenging stories, a villain and a number of new characters.
Actor Nick Tarabay, who played Digger Harkness/Captain Boomerang took to Twitter yesterday sharing a photo that appears to be the character that he played. "Who really misses this guy? Cause as you know....What goes around ALWAYS comes back around," reads his post. The photo shows his arm and hand covered with a thick coat while holding his signature metal boomerang, where he got his name. Comic Book reports that although it's unclear what show Tarabay would reprise his role for, it seems that the representation appears to be associated with "Arrow."
It can be recalled that "Arrow" and "The Flash" had a crossover in 2014, where Captain Boomerang appeared as the main villain. He was part of the ARGUS suicide squad, where Oliver took him down and sent him to the super-max prison in ARGUS on Lian Yu. His return to the show surprised many fans considering the fact that he hasn't been seen in the small screens since season 3.
Tarabay did not add any more details about his character's return to "Arrow," but it could mean one serious thing - revenge against the Green Arrow. Many fans are wondering how Captain Boomerang returns to the series. Until then, they will have to wait until May to see him on the small screens once again.
"Arrow" airs every Wednesday at 8 PM on The CW. Check out the promo below for episode 18 titled Disbanded.
