Fans have been waiting for "Legion" to acknowledge its connection to the "X-Men" universe for several weeks. "Chapter 7" finally did so with two epic revelations: the Yellow-Eyed Demon is actually comic book villain Shadow King and David Haller is the biological son of Charles Xavier. So is it possible that Professor X will actually make an appearance in "Chapter 8"? Could Patrick Stewart reprise his iconic role at least one more time for the FX series?
CeleBeat has previously reported on the major reveal about the Yellow-Eyed Demon's true identity in "Legion". But how exactly did Amahl Farouk end up in David Haller's head? In "Chapter 7", David himself figures it out, thanks to his sane side. It is revealed that David's father had fought and defeated the Shadow King in the astral plane, but that didn't stop the villain from looking for the boy. But could this mean that Professor X will have an actual cameo in "Chapter 8" although David doesn't know his dad's true identity?
"Legion" certainly found a creative way to confirm that Professor X is David Haller's father. The series once again made use of Aubrey Plaza's jaw-dropping performance as Lenny to bring in Charles Xavier's trademark "X-Men" wheelchair, as per io9. David might finally discover the truth about his father in "Chapter 8", but Dan Stevens is already recruiting Patrick Stewart to play his dad in the FX series.
Both Dan Stevens and Patrick Stewart were recently guests on "The Late Late Show with James Corden", as seen on YouTube. The "Legion" star listened patiently as the "Logan" actor discussed his future before jumping in with an offer to have Stewart play his father in the FX show. The real Professor X appeared interested in the idea so it shouldn't be a surprise if he shows up in Season 2. In the meantime, the first season finale "Chapter 8" will air on FX on March 29.
