Although the "Limitless" executive producer has already confirmed the cancellation of the CBS show more than once, fans are still hoping for some good news. Before the confirmation of the cancellation of the first season, the executive producer already had a plot ready for "Limitless" season 2.
A lot of the CBS show's supporters believe that the story is incomplete and the show still has a lot to offer and that is why "Limitless" Season 2 should happen. CinemaBlend reported that "Limitless" executive producer Craig Sweeny already had something in mind for the sequel before it was cancelled.
He revealed that there are going to be changes in the show but it will not lose the important storyline of "Limitless." "We do find a way for it to be Brian (Jake McDorman) taking the NZT working with Rebecca and Boyle," Craig Sweeny shared. The "Limitless" executive producer went on to say that despite what happened at the end of season 1, they are now in a different place. Unfortunately, at the time the executive producer shared his big plans for "Limitless" Season 2, the show was not yet officially cancelled.
When Netflix started streaming "Limitless" Season 1 to their service, fans were given hope that they will hear more good news for the show. Many were hoping that the outlet may see the potential from the show and finally pick the sequel up. Obviously, that turned out to be just wishful thinking. It appears that the mysterious drug, NZT, was too complex for Netflix that they are not ready to gamble for "Limitless" Season 2.
Since NZT was the main reason why other outlets are worried to give it a chance, should they totally take it off the storyline? However, the myteriours drug is what makes the show unique and interesting, so losing it will not give "Limitless" season 2 an edge from the other television series.
Do you think "Limitless" Season 2 should omit NZT for it to be picked up? Let us know in the comments section below!
