Tom Cruise has been missing in action from his daughter, Suri Cruise, life and it's not just because he has a terribly hectic work schedule. The "Mission Impossible" actor's absence is reportedly a result of his loyalty to Scientology, which was also the possible reason behind his failed marriage with Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes. But is he now willing to give up his controversial religion for his daughter with the "Dawson's Creek" actress?
When Scientology opened a new location in San Diego, Tom Cruise was nowhere to be found. Being the face of Scientology for years, many expected to see the 54-year-old "Jerry Maguire" actor in the event. But since he was MIA in the important gathering, m any speculated that Tom Cruise may be slowly removing himself from the cult-like religion.
The mega event was so huge that it was impossible for the "Top Gun" actor to miss it but he did. The Church leader, David Miscavige, appeared and was greeted with huge cheers throughout his speech. However, his former right hand man, Tom, was conspicuously absent," an insider told Radar Online.
Katie Holmes has been a mother and a father to Suri Cruise and she doesn't seem to mind it at all. In fact, the mother-daughter duo have been inseparable after Katie Holmes decided to end her marriage with "Mission Impossible" actor Tom Cruise in 2012.
Although Katie Holmes has never really opened up regarding the end of her six year marriage with Tom Cruise, it was believed that their split was about the controversial ties of Suri Cruise dad with Scientology. Radar Online has previously revealed that Tom Cruise have been missing from his daughter's life as long as 1,000 days! Do you think Tom Cruise will give up Scientology for Suri Cruise?
