"The Originals" Season 4 spoilers are teasing on the highly anticipated reunion between Klaus and Caroline following the Klaroline reference in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale. While many were expecting these two to have a physical reunion in The CW series, it looks like this reference will pave the way for their reunion in the spinoff drama.
"I do look forward to thanking you in person, someday. However long it takes," wrote Klaus in the letter, notes Just Jared Jr.
Joseph Morgan, who plays Klaus, recently shared that his character's letter to Caroline causes confusion because it makes viewers wonder when he wrote the letter, reports MTV. The actor teased that it is possible that Klaus wrote it in "The Originals" Season 4 timeline, but it may also be possible that he wrote it in seasons beyond, which also hints at his survival.
While Klaus and Caroline's sweet reunion may not happen this season, it will surely be a sweet treat for Klaus especially after everything he will be going through in "The Originals" Season 4. As Michael Davis told Collider in an interview, Marcel will do whatever it takes to keep Klaus in prison.
However, Davis admitted that it is possible for Klaus and Marcel to get over their misunderstandings and work together. Davis explained that this is because Klaus and Marcel's relationship has a long history that started out of a real connection in "The Originals."
