The final season of "Samurai Jack" certainly had an awesome start. However, "XCII" appears to be much better when narrated by Genndy Tartakovsky. A new video splices the show creator's enthusiastic description of the first five minutes of the premiere episode with the actual footage. But could this happen again when Jack faces the Daughters of Aku in "Samurai Jack" Season 5 Episode 2?
According to io9, Genndy Tartakovsky had actually brought footage of the first five minutes of "Samurai Jack" Season 5 at last year's San Diego Comic-Con. Unfortunately, the series creator was unable to share the video with the fans so he decided to describe what was happening with narration, sound effects and plenty of action. Although no one got to see any scene from "XCII", fans certainly got excited just listeniing to Tartakovsky describe everything with amazing detail.
But how well did Genndy Tartakovsky describe the first five minutes of the premiere? YouTuber Alex Bennington decided to put it to the test by splicing the creator's awesome narration along with the actual footage. The result somehow proves that the episodes of "Samurai Jack" Season 5 would be even more fun to watch with Tartakovsky's sound effects.
Is it possible that Genndy Tartakovsky will also narrate "Samurai Jack" Season 5 Episode 2? It seems highly unlikely, but it would be interesting to hear how the creator would describe a major showdown between Jack and the Daughters of Aku. The new YouTube promo for "XCIII" already hints on an awesome fight. In addition to that, it looks like the hero will be getting a much needed shave.
Can Jack fend off the Daughters of Aku in "XCIII"? Will a familiar face show up and help Genndy Tartakovsky's hero? There is still much to look forward to this Saturday. "Samurai Jack" Season 5 Episode 2 will air on Adult Swim on March 18.
