The expectation of fans to see "Wonder Woman" as the resurrection of one of the most famous female superheroes will come true. The official trailer of the movie shows a very good impression of the upcoming movie.
Warner Brothers Pictures released the trailer on the weekend as reported by BGR, depicting the origin of the Wonder Woman from her island nation of Themyscira. The trailer showed her training with her fellow Amazon warrior as she uncovers her true power.
DC Movies and Warner Brothers move away from their usual dark tone of the superhero movies. "Wonder Woman" shows a more optimistic perspective and view of the world. This may relate to her naive view during her upbringing in the peaceful Themyscira, away from the shadow of war. However, her view changes after an American military pilot Steve Trevor cast ashore the island, which allows her to view the world in a different perspective.
The new trailer showed her unfolding her true demigod power, granted by Athena and other Greek gods. The trailer also shows a young Diana in training as reported by Entertainment Weekly. She was trained under her aunt, General Antiope, the sister of her mother Queen Hippolyta.
"Wonder Woman" is directed by Patty Jenkins whose previous work was the famous 2003 movie "Monster." Jenkins was hired to replace Michelle McLaren who left because of the difference of opinion in creative views. Jenkins is more famous to direct TV series such as some episodes of the HBO original series "Entourage" and the AMC and Netflix crime drama "The Killing."
The movie "Wonder Woman" is co-written by Geoff Johns and Allan_Heinberg. Johns is a well-known writer who has written many scripts for DC Comics Extended Universe such as TV series of "Smallville," "Arrow" and "Flash."
In the cast members of "Wonder Woman," Connie Nielsen plays Queen Hippolyta, Robin Wright is to play General Antiope. While the American pilot Steve Trevor is played by Chris Pine.
