Although "2 Broke Girls" Season 5 was not a huge success, CBS still gave the show another chance to redeem itself and picked it up for season 6. However, the sixth installment didn't bring back the hype that the show once had. So is this finally end of the line for Max Black and Caroline Wesbox Channing?
When "2 Broke Girls" Season 1 was first aired at CBS back in 2011, the show didn't have any idea on how will fans react to the concept of the comedy show. Fortunately, the television sitcom was well-received by viewers. Fast forward to 2017 and many are now worried about the fate of Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs' tandem after the ratings dropped in season 5.
"2 Broke Girls" season 6 is coming to an end and despite its disappointing rating, Cancel Bear suggested that a new installment is still possible. Although the renewal or cancellation is still unannounced, many are hopeful that the show will still continue despite its poor ratings since the undeniable comedic chemistry of Kat Dennings (Max Black) and Beth Behrs (Caroline Wesbox Channing) is just so hard to pass.
Not only did "2 Broke Girls" steal the hearts of their adult viewers, Beth Behrs has previously revealed that as "2 Broke Girls" stayed longer on air, there's a change on the range of their fans. "[The audience] has changed actually," "2 Broke Girls" actress Beth Behrs told Deadline at the time. "It's gotten much younger, and I think part of that might be syndication."
The 31-year-old "2 Broke Girls" Season 6 actress shared that when she was walking her dog one time, she heard some kids saying that she looked like "that girl from '2 Broke Girls.'" Since these kids seemed to look like they were still in middle school, Beth Behrs suddenly realized that "2 Broke Girls" is reaching the new generation as well.
