Fans are still clearly not giving up on the possibility of a "Limitless" Season 2 even though the show's creator has already announced numerous times that the Fox show is officially canceled. Fans did everything that they could think of to save the show. Unfortunately, it seems that this is probably the end of the line for "Limitless" and "Limitless" season 2 will just be stuck in everyone's hopes.
Despite news that "Limitless has already reached its limit at one season, fans of the CBS show were given hope following reports that "Limitless" Season 2 was being shopped to Netflix and Amazon. Sadly, even with a good cast and an already established title, the highly-wanted "Limitless" season 2 was not picked up by the outlets. Instead of accepting the show's fate, fans have been aggressively sharing their support for the show and an online petition was created.
With a 55,000 current goal, the "Limitless" Season 2 online petition currently has over 53,000 supporters. Basing on this site, the amount of love that "Limitless" Season 2 got in just a few months after the petition was launched clearly proved that the demand for the show is still very high.
Obviously, fans are still stuck in denial even after the confirmation of the "Limitless" Season 2 cancellation. One fan shared that she is still hopeful that either CBS, Amazon, or Netflix would realize how much the viewers want to see "Limitless" Season 2" basing on the number of supporters who signed the petition. "As long as people are signing, articles are being written," the fan wrote adding that she will not give up on "Limitless" Season 2.
It has been reported that the mysterious drug NZT had been the main reason why "Limitless" Season 2 was never picked up. Amazon and Netflix are aware that they can not control the age of their viewers, but they can control what kind of series they can stream to the public. Unfortunately for "Limitless," its concept may just be too complicated for the outlets.
