The final episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is just around the corner and fans are already looking forward to Nina Dobrev's return. Not surprisingly, Dobrev's costars Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley are just as excited to have her back in the series. The real-life Damon and Stefan Salvatore recently spoke up about Elena Gilbert's comeback in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 Episode 16. In addition to that, the stars also teased on what to expect when Katherine Pierce finally appears in "I Was Feeling Epic".
Nina Dobrev's possible early return was something fans were looking forward to in "We're Planning a June Wedding". After all, the teaser for the episode seemed to show someone who looks like Katherine Pierce creating chaos (via YouTube). Unfortunately, the mystery woman turned out to be Vicki Donovan, back from the dead and working for Katherine (via TVLine). Now the excitement for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 Episode 16 has reached fever pitch. Luckily, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley has a few teasers about Elena Gilbert's comeback.
The stars of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 Episode 16 recently spoke to a group of reporters during the screening of the recent episode (via TVLine). Ian Somerhalder admitted that having Nina Dobrev return as Katherine Pierce is "a disaster." However, this doesn't mean that Somerhalder isn't happy to have Dobrev back. The actor simply meant that Katherine's comeback "is nothing good" for any of the other characters in "I Was Feeling Epic".
Nina Dobrev isn't just making an appearance as Katherine Pierce in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 Episode 16. Paul Wesley also expressed excitement over the return of Elena Gilbert, stating that it should bring the series to full circle. Ian Somerhalder's costar stated that "it would be very strange" if Dobrev didn't come back to "wrap that up."
"I Was Feeling Epic" will bring together Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley and Nina Dobrev. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 Episode 16 will air on The CW on March 10.
