20th Century Fox are currently developing the "X-Force" movie. After the release of the successful film "Deadpool," Ryan Reynolds felt that the said character title should be in an "X-Force" film. There are reports that Jeff Wadlow was hired to write and direct the film.
The said team is a group of mutant superheroes that was formed by the mutant Cable. This group takes more militant and aggressive approach toward its enemies compared to the "X-men." There is a concept art that shows Cable, Domino, Warpath, Cannonball and a Rogue look alike that could be the characters that will appear in "X-Force" movie.
Ryan Reynolds explained that he wants to do an "X-Force" movie. But then, his focus has been changed to "Deadpool 2" due to the high success of the first film. But, in February 2017, Reynolds will co-write the script with the film Director, Joe Carnahan.
Deadpool and Wolverine were also part of the team "X-Force" but they are not the founding members of the group. Cable will appear in the upcoming film "Deadpool 2," and it could lead to both Deadpool and Cable forming a team. But, there are reports that Logan will not appear in the "X-Force" movie.
Hugh Jackman, the actor who played Wolverine in all "X-Men" franchise, confirmed in a recent Facebook live session that he will not play the character that has retractable claws. The "X-Men" actor mentioned that the upcoming film "Logan" will be his last movie as Wolverine and he mentioned to Deadpool that he doesn't need him. If he already declined to be part of the film, no worries as Bryan Singer has stated that he would like to see X-23 to be the new wolverine in "X-Force" movie.
There are reports that this film has the potential to be an R-rated film like the film "Deadpool." "X-Force" movie has not yet been given a release date but once a trailer is released, fans will surely going to be excited. Stay tuned for more updates in regards this upcoming film.
